virtual guardian statues

A long time ago, in a country far away … and maybe up-to-date in a virtual world?
I like this idea from OLLI - that areas in second life that are “no entry” could have guardians at the entrance as a more imaginative way of keeping people out, rather than just “zapping” them with a transparent grid.
